Aim Trainer

About this exercise

Aim Trainer measures pixel-level precision and reaction speed in a single integrated score.

A bullseye target appears at random spots. Your distance from the dead center determines precision; your reaction time scales the speed factor.

Unlike binary hit/miss reaction games, this captures fine motor accuracy — center vs edge of the target both count.

A favourite among esports players for warmup and as a transferable hand-eye coordination measure.

The science

Each test is constructed using Item Response Theory (IRT) and Classical Test Theory (CTT) to ensure reliable measurement of knowledge and ability across different difficulty levels.

Questions undergo rigorous review including difficulty calibration, discrimination analysis, and distractor effectiveness evaluation to maintain high assessment quality.

How to play

  1. A bullseye appears at a random spot in the field.
  2. Click as close to the dead center as possible.
  3. Closer to center = higher precision score.
  4. Speed also counts — but accuracy comes first.
