We received many excellent explanations, often approaching the same solution from completely different perspectives. Besides the horizontal rule, it also described consistent vertical and diagonal relationships, showing that the same solution can be verified through multiple independent movement patterns. The answer is A. The double limb moves/rotates clockwise 2 places or 240° between images. The ball/tip moves 1 place or 120° clockwise over subsequent images… If working top to bottom… If moving diagonally from top left… If moving diagonally right to left… 3 rules producing the same last image. ⸻ 3. rmp266 Rather than focusing only on rotations, this explanation first identifies the missing position of the ball by elimination, then determines the thick bar. It is a simple and logical step-by-step deduction that is easy to follow. A. Each row has three models, each model has 3 legs. The ball is on the end of each leg once (leg pointing up, leg pointing left, leg pointing right). The thick leg is also in each leg position once. So the missing model must have the ball at the top leg, because it’s on the other two legs in the other models in that row already. Then I looked at the thick leg to see where it must be in the missing image.
