Five factors, asked two ways.

The SB5 was the first intellectual battery to measure five cognitive factors in both a verbal and a nonverbal form. The result is ten subtests, for ages 2 to 85 and over.1

Abbreviated Battery IQ.Just the two routing subtests: Object Series/Matrices (nonverbal) and Vocabulary (verbal). It gives a quick estimate of fluid reasoning and crystallized ability.2

IQs and factor scores have a mean of 100 and SD of 15, with a possible range of 40 to 160. Subtest scaled scores have a mean of 10 and SD of 3.6

A century of Binets

Each edition changed how scores were calculated.4,8

One source lists a 2016 "sixth edition", but another says a sixth edition is still to come, and the SB5 is described as the only edition in clinical use. It isn't included above.8,9,4

The norm sample of 4,800 was aged 2 to 96, matched to 2001 US census figures; the oldest norm group is 85+.1
The body of the test reintroduces the age-scale format of early Binets.6
Its factor model was redesigned around the Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) framework.7
Its adaptive administration and high ceiling make it especially valued for identifying gifted children.3
One source gives the age range as 2 to 89, and another names ProEd rather than Riverside as publisher.6
