Why Contribute IQ Questions?

This question bank is built by a community of puzzle enthusiasts, educators, and cognitive researchers. Every submission that passes review is published with the contributor's name, adding to a growing library of free IQ practice material used by thousands of people each month.

Strong IQ questions are not just difficult — they are precise. The best puzzles have exactly one defensible answer, a clear visual structure, and a logical rule that a solver can reconstruct from first principles. Contributing a well-formed question helps others sharpen the same skills measured on standardised intelligence assessments.

Which Question Types Can I Submit?

Pattern Recognition

Submit 3x3 or 4x4 matrix grids where shapes, symbols, or figures follow a hidden rule. The best pattern questions have a single clean rule — rotation, reflection, addition, or substitution — applied consistently across every row and column.

Number Sequences

Share sequences where a mathematical relationship connects consecutive terms. Avoid sequences with multiple valid continuations. Ideal submissions have a unique rule — such as a geometric ratio, alternating addition, or a Fibonacci-style recurrence.

Spatial Reasoning

Contribute counting puzzles (how many squares, triangles), folding problems, or compass/direction questions. Visual clarity is critical: the image must be unambiguous and the counting task must have a single correct answer.

Odd One Out

Submit sets of four or five images where one clearly breaks the rule shared by the others. The distinguishing property — shape, colour, orientation, count — must be unambiguous. Avoid questions where two items could reasonably be the outlier.

Analogies

Share A:B :: C:? questions where the relationship between the first pair is clear and transferable. Analogy questions should test abstract relational thinking, not domain knowledge — the solver should not need specialist vocabulary to arrive at the answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does review take?

Most submissions are reviewed within 48 to 72 hours. Questions that pass the quality check are published with full credit to the contributor. If your submission is rejected, it will not appear publicly and you will not receive a notification — this is to prevent low-quality re-submissions.

Can I submit a question without an answer?

Yes. Questions submitted without an official answer are published in the Unsolved section, where community members can submit their own explanations. These questions are tagged "No Answer Yet" until an explanation is verified and accepted by our review team.

Where should I host the question image?

Use any public image host that provides a stable direct URL. Good options include Imgur (imgur.com), Pinterest (use the direct image URL ending in .jpg or .png), PostImages, or your own hosting. Avoid Google Drive or Dropbox links — those redirect and will not load correctly.

Will my name appear on the published question?

If you provide your name in the submission form, it will be recorded internally and may be shown in a contributor credit on the published question page. Your email address is never shown publicly and is only used if we need to contact you about your submission.

Can I submit questions in other languages?

Currently, all submitted questions are reviewed and published in English. If the question image itself is language-neutral (a pure visual or number puzzle), it may be published across all language versions of the site. Questions that rely on text in the image are only published in the relevant language version.
